[He hurries since he'd started off at the bar, but with his suit, it hardly takes any time for him to get home. As per usual, the door is unlocked.

First to greet him is Azzy, the kitten, who comes running from the kitchen where Tony is when she hears the door. Tony calls from behind her.]

Hey don't let her! I have a soda for you in here.

[Katsuki shuts the door behind him with his foot before Azzy can get out, crouching down to pet her affectionately while no one is looking.]

Yeah, yeah. I got her.

[He offers his hands out, waiting until she approaches him to take her with him back to the kitchen.]

[Tony looks up from the large mixing bowl and pile of ingredients to smile when Katsuki walks in. He didn't comment on it, but it was rather sweet how gentle the kid was with animals. In Tony's opinion, it said a lot about who he really was.]

Before we get into you wanting to take on the pantheon, what's going on with you? How are you?

[He's glad Tony doesn't comment on it. Otherwise he would have ended up flustered and angry, and he had to stay focused right now.]

I'm fucking great. I'm going to fix everything and get my teacher back and stop the league and these shitty gods with their own medicine. Just gotta figure out how.

This is because of what happened with Mina, right?

[There were several parts to that he wanted to question, but he was pretty sure he was getting what had prompted this particular bout of anger.]

[He goes quiet, absentmindedly petting Azzy before he answers, albeit indirectly.]

Ain't it fucked up that they can just take us at any time and fuck with our memories and shit? But they made a mistake, because now I know for certain we can change everything. But it has to happen fast if it's going to be successful because otherwise if I piss 'em off too much they'll probably do what they did to Ashido to me or send me back.

Are you talking about showing people our memories or did something happen to her memories?

[Concerned, he stopped what he was doing and turned around to give Katsuki more of his attention.]

And I don't care how fucked up it is here! If there's something we know of that sends you back, you stay away from it! I'm not ready for you to vanish on me!

I mean she saw shit that's supposed to happen in our future I guess, and she came back with fucking bruises.

[Katsuki was about to go off on a rant, but he stopped and went quiet, his expression blank and stunned by Tony's outburst.

He knew that he cared. But seeing someone worry still caught him off guard. After a second he shook his head and held out Azzy for Tony to take, his voice just a little less harsh than before.]

If I don't do something, I won't be able to control that. None of us will, so I gotta do something. [He tried keeping his expression blank. He didn't want to think about it. Didn't want to think-]

I don't want you vanishing on me either.

[Tony sighed and grabbed a towel to wipe his hands. He reached out and took Azzy, but also moved even closer and put an arm around the kid's shoulders too.]

I know she did and don't think for a second I'm missing how wrong that is. It's.. the chances that you can control any of this right now is very, very small. The chances I have any control over any of this or any of us do, is very slim.

[Katsuki was getting used to it, physical contact that didn't involve fighting with others. He didn't push Tony away, didn't lash out because he honestly kind of needed that right now as he struggled to come to terms with what his mentor was saying. He scowled at the ground, trying to keep his expression angry and determined.]

But has anyone tried?

No, not ... yet.

[He drew back, not looking directly at Katsuki now. He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly before choosing to go back to his pizza dough. They could ignore that strange answer, right?]

What did Mina see?

...What?

[He glances up before taking Azzy back, leaning against the counter and looking tired.]

We try to help with city evacuation when the League of Villains turn and attack us instead. Midnight-sensei-

She dies. One of my teachers dies.

[It feels strange, narrating something he didn't even see. As surreal as it is, something twists in his chest.]

Nothing you should be involved with, don't worry about it.

[Tony regrets the slightly gruff tone, especially when he hears the rest of what Katsuki has to say. He stops what he's doing and dusts his hands off on his jeans.]

Is she the one you want to bring here?

[Warning! Incoming hug!]

I'll worry about what I wanna worry about.

[Katsuki argues loudly as ever. He scowls up at the ceiling as if it personally offended him before his demeanor goes quiet again.]

Yeah. If I can bring her here, I can-

[Oof! Katsuki freezes at first, his hands splayed out and eyes wide. Why? Why was Tony hugging him? Had he shown weakness in front of him? It's awkward and catches Katsuki off guard, and yet...

He doesn't want to move. His scowl softens and he shuts his eyes so that he stays calm and awkwardly pats him on the back.]

No it's- dammit, Katsuki..

[This was one big headache. On top of it, he knew this was coming off awkward since he wasn't telling the kid nearly enough of what was going on. He'd thought it'd help keep him out of trouble but, as always, it sounded like one of his proteges was set to take matters into his own hands.

With a heavy sigh, he drew back and took Katsuki by the shoulders. He steered him toward the kitchen table and stepped to the side so he could take one of the seats himself. He pushed one of the chairs out for the kid.]

Alright, knowing your teacher's going to die is a big deal and if we can find out how to get someone specific here I'll help you. I'm going to need you to be patient though. The truth is.. we can't have both of us doing something stupid at the same time.

There's.. a mission of sorts about to go down.

[He went still at the name. Tony was being serious right now. He was too, but he wasn't used to hearing his first name, not nickname, from anyone other than his parents.]

Don't tell me where to go!

[He grumbled, yet he went along with Tony. What the fuck was going on, other than what Katsuki had told him? Regarding him pensively, he finally sat down. He was prepared for a lecture, to be told how reckless he was. He was prepared for everything but that.]

A-

A what.

[Immediately, he felt his blood begin to boil. Standing back up so he could look down on Tony, he curled his hands up into fists, his palms sweating. Only one thought kept running through his head: he felt betrayed.]

And you didn't tell me until now. You were going to leave me out. What the hell? YOU'D RATHER TRY TO ACCOMPLISH IT ON YOUR OWN BECAUSE, WHY?! YOU THINK I'M WEAK!?

[He probably shouldn't have tried to manhandle Katsuki to the table given how explosive he was, but it was an attempt to minimize.. well, this. Unfortunately.

He let the young man be the one to stand, while he remained seated. He let him get loud. At least.. for now.]

Kid, come on.. you know it's not like that. This has nothing to do with how strong you are. This isn't even my fight. I'm helping someone else. If this was a straight up brawl and I knew I needed might, of course I'd think of you. It's not. It's about stealth and I'm going to make sure there aren't any casualties on either side.

[His head was swimming, and sparks popped from his palms as he was ready to keep yelling at Tony. He knew he underestimated him-

But then Tony said that and Katsuki paused. He didn't think he was weak? No. He was just an idiot. Scoffing loudly, the teenager began to pace around the chair in agitation.]

That's exactly why you need me! I'm a great distraction.

The only one you'd be distracting is me. I'd be way too worried about your safety to concentrate. If something happened to you, I'd never be able to forgive myself.

[And yes, he was a bit of an idiot. But only because he was a teenager! A very loud one, but not someone who couldn't learn how to get a grip of his temper and sense. He just needed more time to grow.]

I'm sorry. I am. I wasn't all that certain this was even going to happen until just a few days ago.

[He sighed heavily again and crossed his arms over his chest, looking down.

He hated this. All of this. He hated that he was being put in this position. He didn't like that he was having to do this to Katsuki. He worried what this was going to do to his business and his new home. He was concerned what sort of backlash this was going to have on everyone in the city.

The whole thing was turning his stomach but he'd given his word and there were people depending on him. If there really were people being hurt in those towers.. they'd already taken too long planning this.]

Promise me, you won't do anything or say anything.

Something could've already happened to me. I don't fucking know, Ashido doesn't know.

[He scrubbed a hand through his hair.]

Being a hero is my job. Or it's going to be. If I didn't do shit every time there was a risk I would never win and I'd be some loser extra. Besides, I've dealt with worse.

[Honestly, he was trying not to think about the repercussions. Of all the people... He didn't want Tony to have to go through with this, because if the gods sent him away, then he'd too-

No. Don't fucking think. He scowled and finally sat back down. Katsuki may yell and scream, but he was a shitty liar.]

I can't make that promise. But I won't tell no one except Ashido. She deserves to know too after everything.

[He also hated that Katsuki had a good point. The fact that they were here meant something had happened to them. They didn't know just what yet. He was needing to go find out for sure and if they were just waiting for worse.

However, the second part made his gaze snap sharply to the boy's face and he glared at him! He was all set to yell at him when Katsuki spared himself by admitting that no, he wasn't a hero yet. Good save.

Tony took a deep breath and nodded. He could live with this compromise. He knew better than to push the kid too hard.]

Good. Thank you. Are you going to let me make this pizza now?

[As Tony glared at him, Katsuki shot him a dazzling, shit-eating grin. What? Have a problem with something he said?

Fighting, yelling and arguing were all easier than talking about feelings and shit like that. He tried to hide his surprise when Tony accepted his answer and rolled his eyes, leaning back in the chair to tip it back.]

Been waiting for you to make it for several hours, old man.

You're a little shit, you know that?

[He smirked at him and got up to start in again.]

If you weren't so damn needy with all your taking on the gods and other nonsense, you would've had it by now. By the way, have you and Ashido read over all the information that's in the visitor's center Verstael's got set up for us? If not, that's now you're homework. Both of you.
